Based in West London, this leading international localisation company in the technology industry is offering an ideal opportunity for those wishing to combine their language skills with their interest in gaming. The company is looking for both French-speaking and German-speaking Proof Readers and Translators. These are temporary positions lasting around two months, with the possibility of extension. Both positions require that translations are consistent with the source text, suitable for the target market and grammatically correct. For the Proof Reader position, other key responsibilities include preparing linguistic-related materials, such as glossaries and databases, checking manuals and other game-related files and some translation. Other key duties for the Translator role include translation of in-game and related text, judging the linguistic accuracy and quality of existing translations. For both roles you must have a native-level of either French or Japanese, in addition to previous translation experience. Ideally you will have a language-related degree and knowledge of CAT tools.
