Our client is an international social media marketing agency, who is starting up on the German market. Their clients are mainly from the FMCG sector. Due to their success in other markets across Europe and the world, they are now focusing on Germany and the DACH speaking region. They are therefore now recruiting a Business Development Manager to work from a home-office in Germany and to help build the German market.

Your new duties and responsibilities
As the new Business Development Manager you will help to drive the company’s growth and sales in Germany. It will be your responsibility to develop new business as well as to maintain and identify growth opportunities within the existing client base. You will work closely together with your colleagues in the UK, where you also have support staff that assist you. The role is a home-office based role.
Day-to-day tasks will include:
• Identify and pursue new clients
• Develop and cultivate existing and new client relationships
• Consult and advise clients
• Represent at fairs and events
• Develop and implement new sales strategies
• Compile Sales reports
The new Business Development Manager you should ideally have experience in a similar sales role. You should have extensive experience and knowledge of online marketing, social media, media, online advertisements and/ or the digital market in general.
The ideal candidate should also have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in marketing or business or equivalent level of studies
• Fluent German and strong English speaker
• Strong sales experience in the German market
• Service and Consultative selling approach
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to travel nationally
