Our client, a renowned and innovative online video and media company expanding globally is currently looking for a talented multilingual Customer Technical Support Intern looking to enhance their experience in the technical support field , assisting some of the worlds most well known online video publishers, in the media and journalism sectors. The internship will begin in January or February 2018 until June/July 2018.
Overview of responsibilities
The following responsibilities overview is designed to give a summary of the key activities that the successful candidate will be involved in on a daily basis and is not exhaustive.
The Customer Technical Support Intern will :
*Research, investigate and resolve customer technical issues arising from their use of my client's online video and cloud solutions. This will involve the engineer replicating technical problems, using diverse sources of information and close collaboration with more experienced colleagues to ensure that issues are resolved swiftly and with minimum disruption to the client.
*Learning new Cloud Video technologies and web technologies.
*The selected candidate will have excellent attention to detail as they will be involved in documenting issues and contributing to the online knowledge base to enable the resolution of future incidents.
*Have excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution of incidents to international clients.
*Possess excellent team as well as autonomous working abilities and a collaborative approach to resolving problems alongside a medium-sized international team of Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) and Senior TSEs.
Skills and experience required
The successful candidate should have the following skills, studies focus and abilities:
* Be studying for a Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical discipline, ideally Networks and Telecommunications, Networks, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Digital Media Technology or similar, with any existing knowledge ,or strong interest, in online media and videos being a significant advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided on my client's products.
*A strong desire to be in a customer-facing technical support experience
*Strong technology background with a comprehensive knowledge of PC-based (Mac is advantageous) applications and network applications, including knowledge of browser compatibility issues
*Excellent communications skills and a strong desire to support clients
*Proven analytical or problem solving abilities.
*An understanding of internet technologies including browsers, networking, firewalls & proxy servers is key to the position.
*A demonstrated ability to learn new skills and pick up new technologies quickly.
*Ability to work independently and take initiative as well as part of a team
*Demonstrable multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
*Experience of video editing/encoding applications would be advantageous.
*Multilingual ( in written and verbal expression ) in French, Spanish , Italian or German fluency is required due to my client's international client base. Candidates must speak one of these languages fluently to be considered.
