We are currently recruiting for a talented multilingual Support Engineer leading international video technologies client who are searching for a Senior Support Engineer to join their medium sized and welcoming team of Engineers passionate about delivering the best online video experience to thousands of academic and corporate organisations globally.
This is an ideal opportunity for an Engineer with a strong Microsoft Windows and Databases and /or Networks focus to join an fast-expanding company with a reputation for cutting-edge technologies, delivering some of the highest quality video experiences on the market. As part of our client's front-line team you'll need to forge strong relationships with clients who will rely on your excellent grasp of product ( after full training) , analytical skills, troubleshooting flair and rigorous documenting of issues to solve complex issues relating to the product's functionality and usage.
You'll be trained on the product, learn from others, grow your skills and accelerate you career , all within a friendly, encouraging and highly-motivated team.
*Representing the company and forging strong client relationships from staff to high end decision makers within client organizations.
*Approaching external product users with a motivated, efficient and reliable follow-through to their issues.
*Diagnosing performance issues spanning multiple software components.
*Replicating, describing and troubleshooting complex bugs and product issues and following up tickets on the ticketing system.
*Managing the ticket escalation process and working closely with the engineering team in reporting software bug resolution.
*Developing the knowledge base by proactively updating and adding to product documentation, FAQs and support materials.
*Being a role model for other support engineers and junior members of staff and collaborating in the efficiency of the team.
*Flexible , pragmatic attitude to stepping in where necessary to provide superb customer service.
Desired skills and experience
*A university degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or similar
*Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a professional environment.
*Outstanding collaboration skills with an empathy towards colleagues and clients
*You should be a flexible, supportive colleague who enjoys working in a multicultural team environment.
*Able to excel in a fast-flowing working environment.
*A track record supporting end-users effectively via phone and email.
*Strong skills and experience working with Windows/MAC OS/Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows Media Services and Microsoft SQL 2008/2016.
*Experience in Networking, SaaS/ Web Applications and APIs is a strong advantage.
*Knowledge of Video Production, Editing or Online video technologies is a big plus.
*Any experience with Fiddler, Wireshark, Perfmon or other similar diagnostic tools is a bonus.
*Fluent French and Fluent/Advanced English is essential. The position is oriented towards the French speaking market , however, initially some support will be conducted in English.
