This is a fantastic opportunity in a welcoming team for an experienced developer with a passion for software development and a strong interest or experience in developing software for the scientific and research technologies sectors. Responsibilities : *Developing reliable, robust and maintainable software enabling the functionality of scientific instruments that our client provides. *Taking on the role of Team Leader when required to lead development projects. *Ensuring that design follows established codes of practice and product development lifecycle methodologies (ISO9000 , TickIt Plus standards) *Solving product problems arising from the software if required. *Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software design and development practices applicable to our client's products. *Assisting in training on the software for internal and external personnel. *Contributing to Software development standards and policies. Objectives : *Design of well-structured and designed software applications. *Reliable Systems *Reusable code *Ergonomic Systems Qualifications, Skills and experience required : *A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar with a strong course focus on Software Development. *At least one significant long-term experience in software development in C#.NET framework (essential) Experience in C development in addition is beneficial. *Previous experience designing and developing software for Industrial, Scientific or Manufacturing sectors is highly advantageous. *Agile methodologies experience, especially working in a Scrum environment, is essential with Unit Testing, Test driven development knowledge . Microsoft Team Foundation server (TFS) *Software design principles, ISO9000 and TickIt/TickIT plus Standards experience would be very beneficial. *Experience with Real-Time measurement and Control would be useful. *Strong communications skills in English and teamwork abilities are essential for collaboration with diverse internal teams ( Technical Support, Testing Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers) as well as clients. *Strong teamwork skills. *Good communications skills, self-motivation and a real interest (perhaps shown by hobbies, studies etc...) in all aspects of software development. *Excellent adaptation abilities and thrives on working on the latest cutting-edge development projects.
