Software Architect

If so,our client , a renowned innovator in healthcare technologies that enable women to live healthier lives every day, is currently looking for a Software Architect to be based in their Aix-en-Provence office in the South East of France in a hybrid ( remote/office-based) position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding local team within a truly international organisation, applying strong software development and architectural skills to the development of a medical software suite that is critical to ultrasound operations in clinical settings.

General definition of the mission(s):

➢Designing the software and develop C components,

Activity description:

➢Designing and developing a software architecture model that allows the software to function optimally according to the various needs expressed.
➢Designs and develops components in C under Linux in a scientific and industrial environment.
➢Guides , mentors and advises other engineers to ensure that the chosen software architecture model is respected and remains consistent with the requirements,
➢Works with ultrasound specialists to understand and analyze their needs ( no prior experience in the Medical sector is required but a strong interest in Medical/Clinical software architecture and development is essential !)
➢Develops in a team with a version management tool,
➢Develop unit tests, simulation tools or validation tools that guarantee the proper functioning of components,
➢Contributes to the documentation of the software architecture and source code,
➢Contributes to software maintenance,
➢Participates in the support of other teams and the transfer of its skills.
➢Is interested in the latest software technologies.


➢Significant Software engineering experience with software development projects including complex projects (>500K lines of code)),
➢Good knowledge of C and the latest developments in the language as well as the standard library,
➢Very good knowledge of design patterns used in application development,
➢Good knowledge of most architectural patterns,
➢Can work in a Linux environment (including command line),
➢Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical device software development (IEC62304),
➢Technical English (written and oral) and advanced or fluent French.
➢Soft skills: rigor, communication, teamwork, autonomy, creativity, ability to abstract, anticipate,
➢Enjoys coding!
