The role:


As part of a team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and developing new business. It is a sales role. Clients might include corporations, banks, asset managers, finance companies as well as government bodies and third-party distributor.



  • Creating business plans and sales strategy for the given territory
  • Achieving or overachieving own set targets
  • Great client knowledge through interaction, networking etc.
  • Meetings clients on a regular basis at events, fairs, and client visits
  • Maintaining a high level of product knowledge
  • Organising und running client meetings and presentations
  • Managing pricing and implementing increases
  • Managing sales cycles


The Requirements:


My client is looking for a candidate who has ideally at least 2 years’ experience in an Sales/account management/relationship management position with a data solution supplier, Data Vendor or similar.  This role will require frequent travel, so you should be open and flexible. Other requirements include:


  • A degree level qualification, preferably gained in a finance or numerical discipline
  • Fluent English essential, at least one additional other European language required
  • Clear understanding of the financial market and experience of working in financial services industry
  • Entrepreneurial style to meet and exceed targets
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, yet integrate appropriately with the team and other areas
  • Comfortable presenting to senior management
  • Strong negotiation skills and able to influence key decision makers, as well as strong problem solving skills
  • High level of commitment
  • Highly organised
