Strategic Key Accounts Manager

Location: Nr Milton Keynes, Bucks. UK

A unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at what is an exciting time for this rapidly growing industrial safety supplies and installations business. With 30% yoy growth and an imminent move to new, larger premises, our client is embarking on a transformational scale-up phase for which it requires a high caliber commercial leader to join the management team.

The company has built a market-leading proposition based on its proprietary product offer, expertise and service levels; from project scoping and specification to installation and aftersales support. Its core end market is mega shed warehousing and distribution centres, as well as other industrial building environments. The business has established preferred supplier status with a number of the UK's main construction contractors and industrial architects; end customers include Amazon, M&S and Lidl.

Our client's plan is to scale the business through enhanced key account management and new business development focusing on contractors, specifiers and architects. Our client is looking for an ambitious and professional self-starter, with an exceptional track record in key account management and new business development in a related sector.

You will be responsible for all aspects of revenue generation, meeting the company's growth targets, and customer success. As a key member of the senior management team, you will also be expected to help shape business strategy, contribute to business planning exercises including budgeting and setting KPIs, and to nurture a winning, professional and enjoyable culture. My client is offering a competitive base salary plus OTE's and a company car.

Growing up in a Bosnian family in the Austrian Alps, switching from one language to another came quite naturally to me very early on and made learning new languages rather easy for me.  English quickly became my favourite foreign language which later led me to the US where I lived and worked for 5 years. There I got my first taste of Recruitment and made a career of it after my return to Austria. I moved to London in 2016 in order to join my wife, a native Londoner. Altogether, I’ve got 11 years of Recruitment experience under my belt and lots more in Sales and Marketing.

When I’m not at work, I love spending time in nature, skiing is one of my favourite hobbies, I also love Delta Blues and a cold beer…

If I were a famous person, I would be: Duane Allman, the greatest Blues Slide Guitar player of all times. Why? For standing on stage and “ripping” it up!

Fun fact:  One day, doing sales calls in the countryside outside of Chicago, I got lost and was chased off a property by an Amish man with a shotgun in one hand and the leash of a barking Doberman in the other…
