If so Euro London Appointments would like to speak to you ! We are currently recruiting for a renowned innovator of scientific technologies, widely used and respected in scientific research organisations globally for the quality and range of precision instrumentation they offer their clients.
To ensure a high quality of service support for their product range of biochemistry related products and future innovation products our client is looking for a Product Service specialist with a talent for logical problem solving to join their team aimed at providing specific service and support input into product development and R&D. This in turn will then enhance the serviceability and reliability of these products leading to greater retention and renewal rates.
*Providing specialist assistance to both field and helpdesk teams on products focused on Bioengineering.
*Undertaking occasional on-site visits across EMEA (if required) including within the UK. Occasional travel for training engineers outside of Europe.
*Being involved in the initial installation of the product range.
*Acting as a focal point for field service team escalations relating to specialist products.
*Providing specialist customer support and service feedback for R&D team product development and modifications.
*Working with Sales and Support teams to develop service products, service contract content and other service procedures.
*Liaising with relevant third party suppliers and customers.
*Develops and plays a key role in the training programme for the Field Service department.
*Creates and develops training materials for specialist products.
*Documents and disseminates product service materials such as recommended parts, tools, calibration routines and service engineer training workshops.
*Represents customer support at product development and quality meetings.
*Delivers 'hands on' service engineer training.
Skills and experience required
*A Science or Engineering graduate. A Biochemistry type degree is ideal but any degree relating to Science or Engineering can be considered.
*The key to the position is strong logical and problem solving skills combined with strong communications skills for working with several departments cross-functionally.
*Able to instil confidence in listeners and forge trust with clients.
*Practical experience on any kind of laboratory instrumentation or scientific devices is preferred but not essential if you have the right logical skills to learn ( training provided).
*Working knowledge of optics or digital image capture is an advantage.
*Experience writing and producing technical documentation.
*Fluent written and spoken English ideally with a second European language.
*Good listening skills and ability to create confidence with key stakeholders internally and externally.
*Confident PC User on Windows and Office 365.
