Euro London Appointments is currently recruiting on behalf of an internationally recognized organisation , leading the way globally with an innovative and cutting-edge range of vehicle tracking technologies, designed to improve road safety for drivers of Logistics and Public Transport fleets worldwide, as well as for other road users and members of the public. Our client is offering the opportunity to join their expanding support team based in the town of Swindon in Wiltshire. The environment is fast-paced and ever changing as our client operates in a competitive market where innovative software is constantly being developed and introduced for customers across the EMEA region and beyond. Responsibilities include : *Providing Second and Third Line Technical Support on Systems, Networks, Routers, Switches , Firewalls , SQL and Applications to our client's customers as well as internal teams, ensuring a rapid response time to the end-user. *Acting as the technical liaison between the Support Team, the Sales Team and the Design Team. *Occasionally providing on-site support in the UK and wider Europe and technical product training for customers in order to efficiently resolve technical issues. *Performing testing and validation of new software releases, providing technical feedback to the design authority as required. *Working with Network and Support departments internationally to troubleshoot problems including servers and web servers. *Participating in on-call duties in a in a 24/7/365 environment if required after 6-12 months in the position. The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes and skills : *A degree in a technical discipline ( Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or similar) *High motivation with a pro-active approach towards resolving customer problems *Strong experience of providing support on specialist software applications, ideally in a SaaS environment. *Excellent communications skills with fluency in English and French. The high level of English required is essential as many calls/emailed will be handled English speaking clients in the UK and throughout Europe. *Attention to detail and a flexible approach to problem solving *Superior Analytical skills *High level PC skills with the ability to assimilate new skills with ease. *Excellent working experience with Windows Operating Systems , especially from Windows 2008 onwards. *Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008 *Drivers license holder. The ideal candidate should have had significant experience in a similar client support -facing roles, encompassing Systems, Networks, Databases and Applications support.
