Euro London’s client, a leading user connectivity, monitors and touch screen devices innovator and manufacturer is currently looking for a dedicated and pro-active IT Support Engineer to be based in our client’s Amsterdam office in a hybrid capacity.

You’ll work closely with on-site and remote colleagues in a fully cloud-based environment.

You’d also have the chance to work closely with the software development team to explore improvements for customers using our client’s technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving systems and hardware/software issues in response to end users and escalating these in a timely manner.
  • Overall responsibility for managing our client’s IT network – IP telephony, security, firewalls and network infrastructure.
  • Implementing and maintaining existing and new IT environments in AWS and Azure Cloud.
  • Providing guidance , technical assistance and incident training to internal staff and customers.
  • Supporting staff in workflow digitalization and documents using MS Office 365 apps.
  • Procurement, management and installation/configuration of new hardware, laptops, servers and software to ensure that all staff have the best tools to work onsite or remotely.
  • Maintaining IT procedures for all the European offices ( The Netherlands, France, Germany, the UK) and producing/adhering to checklists and procedures.
  • Maintaining good working conditions for all servers including patch levels.
  • External support for client’s using educational /corporate touchscreen devices on an occasional basis including VLANs, Routing, Switching, Security, Firewalls, MS office 365, Google G suite and Cloud environments support.
  • Working with the software development team to analyse requirements or potential issues.

Skills and experience required

  • At least one long-term demonstrable working experience in the IT Support sector , supporting internal and external clients working with the IT areas above in an enterprise environment.
  • Fluent in English and ideally Dutch, French or German ( Mandarin is a big advantage)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 Apps including Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate) is preferred
  • Familiar with Google G Suite is preferred
  • Cloud services knowledge (AWS/Azure)
  • Cisco Meraki firewall and wireless, Sophos XG firewall ( Nice to have)
  • LAN / WAN / Wireless
  • Backups (Veeam) Nice to have 
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Have good business sense knowledge
  • Good team player
  • A NL/European drivers licence. 
  • Able to travel on-site occasionally across Europe to other company sites for user support and planned project work.
