Business Development Specialist - French - Leeds/hybrid - £32K-£35K + benefits
A new BDS (Business Development Specialist) with fluency in French has opened within a leading multinational brand based in Leeds, close to the station. This global manufacturing provider of specialized and material-driven solutions distributed on a workd wide level has over 1,000+ employees in US, UK, China and Italy.
Reporting to the Global Vertical Market Manager for OEM's you will be looking to continue your career within Sales/Business Development for a company offering long term career prospects and future development.
Your responsibilities will cover sever areas, making the role diverse and developing your skills in different areas:
Account management –
- Serving as primary contact for customers based in France, as well as support global OEM base in consumer goods vertical
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts between sales, engineering, product management to meet customer expectations and deadlines
- Quickly and accurately respond to customer requests, generate quotes and order confirmations, take care of complaints and any other issues concerning processing and shipping goods.
- Support activities in CRM system by keeping customer records up to date, managing pipeline progress, following up on opportunities and quotes, qualify incoming leads.
- Manage customer calls
- Plan 10% of time in field in France through working with existing partners and supporting end user and OEM visits
Forecasting and reporting – obtaining annual forecast from OEM customer base to align with sales targets and safety stock levels
- Collaborate with product managers and planners to make sure that our safety stock is in line with expected customer demands
- Regularly follow up with customers to make sure that forecasts have not changed
- Manage customer supplier platforms and update them accordingly
Support requests for compliance documents
Customer acquisition and relationship management –
- Maintaining and growing customer base in line with global development plans in consumer goods and general industrial verticals:
- Proactively identify and approach new OEM clients in consumer goods vertical
- Support distribution partners in general industrial vertical in France by cross selling full product range, training and engaging with their sales teams, visiting end users and identifying new areas of development
Successfuk candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Full proficiency in French and English, both to C1/C2 level.
- 2 years’ experience in similar role (business development or customer service)
- Experience in industrial sales and industrial applications welcomed, but not necessary as full product training will be provided
- IT savviness – experience in working with CRM and ERP platforms
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience in handling international customer base
The role is to start asap, offering a hybrid working environment with time, initially starting 4 days a week in the office and Fridays from home. Amazing new offices in the heart of Leeds close to the canal. Great multinational working atmosphere within a successful established team.
