An international industrial technology company specialising in advanced manufacturing solutions is seeking a Global Sales Manager to join its international commercial team in Belgium.

Working closely with sales leadership, technical experts, product teams and marketing, you will be responsible for expanding the company’s advanced materials business across new global markets and industrial applications

This is a global market-development and demand-creation role rather than a traditional territory-based sales position.

You will identify or be assigned markets, develop opportunities from an early stage and remain accountable for their technical qualification and commercial progression.

The role will focus on markets where the company can demonstrate clear technical, operational and commercial advantages over existing customer solutions. 

 

Fluent English is required, and additional languages would be advantageous.

Candidates must be based in Belgium and willing to travel regularly internationally.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Develop new global markets and industrial applications for the company’s advanced materials portfolio.

• Identify, qualify and convert high-value opportunities, taking ownership from initial market development through technical validation and revenue generation.

• Demonstrate the technical, operational and commercial value of the company’s materials.

• Develop strong relationships with end users, industrial partners and other key stakeholders.

• Collaborate with technical, product and marketing teams to support material qualification, adoption and cross-selling opportunities.

 

Profile required:

• Sales professional with a strong engineering background, ideally in chemical engineering, who has successfully transitioned from a technical role into sales or business development within industrial materials, advanced manufacturing or a related environment.

• Proven experience developing new business and managing complex, technically driven sales opportunities.

• Confidence challenging established customer processes and demonstrating the benefits of alternative technical solutions.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel regularly internationally.

 

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary of up to €110,000 gross per year, depending on experience and profile
