Our client is an international technology company specialising in advanced manufacturing and recognised for its expertise in precision production technologies.

The company designs innovative equipment and customised components for clients across the industrial, medical and aerospace sectors.

They are looking to hire a German and English-speaking Field Service Engineer based in Germany, ideally near Frankfurt or Stuttgart, to support the installation, repair and servicing of machines across several European countries.

You will join a team of 8 Field Service Technicians and report to the Customer Service Manager for Northern and Central Europe.

This position is home-based in Germany and involves extensive travel, approximately 90%, across the DACH region and Europe. This is a customer-facing role, ideal for someone committed to delivering full customer satisfaction throughout the installation, commissioning and fine-tuning of newly purchased equipment.

Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written, is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, maintain and repair complex industrial equipment at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and implement software and hardware upgrades.
  • Provide technical guidance and basic user training to customers.
  • Manage service documentation, spare parts coordination and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while travelling extensively across the assigned region.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in field service or maintenance of complex industrial equipment.
  • State-certified technician qualification required.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel extensively.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to €80,000 per year, depending on profile and experience
  • Company car
