We are seeking an experienced IT Desk Support to join our client's Amsterdam office on a 1‑year contract. This is a fully office‑based, hands‑on role within a dynamic international environment, offering exposure to enterprise‑level infrastructure, cross‑border collaboration, and real responsibility from day one.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working across servers, networks, user support, and vendor management, while contributing to the smooth running of a complex operational setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day IT infrastructure and user support for the Amsterdam office
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT systems, including servers, networks, and business applications
- Act as second‑line support for the Operations Team, with occasional first‑line coverage when needed
- Diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software, servers, and networks
- Manage backups, patching cycles, system updates, and technical security controls
- Ensure compliance with corporate IT and security standards
- Produce documentation on system configurations, maintenance tasks, and technical procedures
- Liaise with external IT vendors for technical resolution and procurement processes
- Support the IT Manager in implementing new processes, tools, and continuous improvements
- Collaborate with international IT teams to align infrastructure and support activities
About You
You will ideally have:
- A degree or equivalent experience in an IT‑related discipline
- Demonstrable experience troubleshooting servers and networking in a professional environment
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including server environments, networking, and business applications
- Good understanding of IT security, hardware safety, and data protection principles
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders in an international business setting
- Business‑level fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must; Mandarin Chinese or Swedish or Dutch language skills are a plus
- Experience in engineering, industrial, or operational settings is highly beneficial
