The position can be based in any country in the DACH region ( Germany, Austria, Switzerland) or in The Netherlands.

About the Position

Our client is looking for a high-performing, motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join their DACH region focused technical team. In this role, you will be a key player in driving technical sales, delivering deployments, troubleshooting, and conducting technical demonstrations. You will work closely with our client’s sales and partner networks, helping to accelerate the adoption of their cutting-edge platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify technical requirements within sales opportunities and align them with our solutions, accelerating the sales cycle by showcasing market differentiators.
  • Demonstrate our platform’s capabilities to partners and customers through on-site visits, remote webinars, and field events such as conferences and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with regional sales managers to strategize, prepare, and execute on complex, high-value deals.
  • Match customer challenges and requirements to tailored solutions, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
  • Support sales teams in developing financial business cases (ROI) for each opportunity.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations and demos that clearly articulate the unique value of our solutions.
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP and RFI responses.
  • Communicate customer and prospect needs to engineering teams to inform future product enhancements.
  • Gather and document competitive intelligence to maintain our market leadership.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales, preferably within the technology sector.
  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud computing, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and related technologies.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to assess customer needs and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with peers and executives, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales enablement tools.
  • Collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively within a sales team and across functions.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Experience applying the MEDDPICC methodology to accelerate technical validation.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential; additional languages are a plus.
